Temperament:
Anoles are naturally
skittish animals, hardy in nature but not the best for handling. A look but do
not touch animal. With time they get used to their owners ad may jump on them
during feeding times. Like Chameleons they have independently moving eyes and
will go a very dark brown in colour when stressed. They also have sticky foot
pads which allow them to be extremely agile when climbing. Males have flashy
dewlaps which help to court females or chase off males.
Whilst these are not
good to handle they will interact well with their owner, coming over and
watching. Anoles would do well in a planted bioactive vivaria.
